How do I choose the right rosin?

Today, rosin is available in a multitude of compositions. Thomastik-Infeld offers 17 different types of rosin in order to enable the best possible playing and sound experience for you. These are available in different compositions and different degrees of hardness and stickiness, suitable for individual playing styles and local climatic conditions. This is because factors such as temperature deviations and air humidity also play a major role when selecting rosin and bow hair.

However, we are particularly proud of our new rosin line for violin (TIVO01), viola (TIVA01), cello (TIVC01) and soon for bass. It has proven to be a one-fits-all solution and is our top recommendation for all musicians seeking optimal performance. Musicians love the clarity of articulation and the projection you gain when using it, as well as the supported focus and brillance. More than that, the rosins have passed the test of extreme climate conditions and are therefore a trusted and much loved companion for many professionals.
